Casa Dega Design is an independent woodworking studio based in San Diego, CA, owned by Andrew Greene.
We specialize in custom, made-to-order solid wood furniture for modern residential homes and commercial spaces.

We are growing fast and looking to add an additional team member in the next few months!

Part-time woodworking assistant (San Diego, CA)
20-25 hrs/week

*This has the potential to become a full-time position. Pay is also negotiable, dependent on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Our work is very detail oriented, so some background experience is preferred, but not required.
Any kind of experience working with your hands, whether in construction, automotive, manufacturing, or a hobby will help you succeed here.

Please note: This position requires heavy lifting, as we use solid wood and steel materials for our projects, as well as live edge slabs.

We are fully committed to training the right person.
Because the training process is extensive and our co-working space requires an annual membership, our preferred candidate will be able to make at least 1+ year commitment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our part-time woodworking assistant will help build our custom furniture commissions and deliver finished pieces around Southern CA.
Most days you will be working directly with owner and lead artisan, Andrew, at our co-working space in Mira Mesa.

Maketory at 9431 Dowdy Dr., Suite 2, San Diego, CA 92126.

Daily tasks include:
Belt sanding live edge slabs & lumber
Shopping for/picking up project materials
Finished project home/business delivery (local)
Packaging & building custom crates (shipping)
