Tony Gwynn Baseball Bat
Gallagher Square in PADRES petco PARK
Tony Gwynn’s replica bat and bat forest were commissioned as a part of the Gallagher Square overhaul, located at Petco Park - home of The Padres.
The climbable Tony Gwynn bat was made from a massive single White Oak tree, with a final size of nearly 16 feet long and 2 feet wide. As a kid who grew up in San Diego and got to watch Tony Gwynn play, this will go down as one of our proudest commissions.
The bat forest located inside the kids area, consists of 13 upright bats, all individually made from solid white oak logs with varying heights up to 14 feet.
